Body found floating in Clinton River in Mt. Clemens

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (WJBK) - Authorities are investigating after a body was found floating in the Clinton River in Mount Clemens.

The Macomb County sheriff's department says the body was spotted by a family on a boat Tuesday night in the water near MacArthur Park and the Macomb Family YMCA, which is near River Road and Dickinson Street. The body was caught in debris and was about 5 feet from shore.

Crews responded and removed the body from the water.

The man had a wallet in his back pocket, and deputies recognize the man from prior occassions around Mt. Clemens. They say he is 60 years old and does not have a known address.

They say there were no signs of foul play in his death, but an investigation is ongoing.
