After human remains were found in a Canton Township sewer, police have ruled Wednesday the man died by suicide.
Canton police say the remains of a 35-year-old man were found in the township sewer system when a public works crew came across the body.

The crew was doing work in a field near Saltz and Canton Center roads on Monday near the Glens Condominium Complex.
Canton police say they have made contact with the missing man's family and they are awaiting official identification of the body by the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police did not suspect foul play when the case first came under investigation.
No other details have been release out of respect for the privacy of the man's family.
