Car hits bus stop after shootout in Detroit leaving 2 men shot

A shootout and car crash on the west side has left five people hospitalized.

In the aftermath a car involved in the shooting slammed into a bus stop injuring three people who fled from inside at Grand River and West Grand Boulevard in Detroit.

Detroit police say that two men, the driver of a car and a pedestrian were involved in the shootout. One man was shot in the head and another shot in the legs. Both shooters are in critical condition.

The incident happened at about 6:30 p.m. and investigators say the pedestrians inside the bus stop could have been injured much worse but were able to get out of the way in time.
