City celebrations abound as Detroit turns 318

DETROIT (FOX 2) - Wednesday was Detroit's 318th birthday and that mean among the celebration was free ice cream and playtime for pups.

Jay Towers was at Cadillac Square where Hudsonville Ice Cream was giving away free pints to mark the city's birthday.

And for the last 14 years that means a party in the Cass Corridor at "Canine To Five" which is where Charlie Langton was.

It was a Detroit birthday party for dogs, complete with hats, decorations and singing. Over 100 dogs were being cared for and some even get groomed.
