Dearborn school lockdown over after police situation (UPDATE)

As a result the lockdown at Bryant Middle School is over, while the investigation into the call is being made.

A swatting call is a prank emergency phone call made to bring police to an innocent person's address.

A Dearborn middle school is on lockdown due to a police situation Wednesday.

Dearborn police want residents and motorists to avoid the area near Bryant Middle School, 460 Vernon Street, near Cherry Hill and Telegraph.

The school will remain on temporary lockdown until the scene is clear. Police have not specified what operation is underway in the area.
