Detroit Fleat food truck park opens in Ferndale

The Detroit Fleat food truck park opened Friday as it begins serving its house street food inspired menu and full bar.

Located at 1820 E. 9 Mile, patrons can sit a table and order with a server or get their meals directly from the food trucks.

They feature three mainstay trucks: The Mack Shack, Dectabowl Food Truck & Catering and The Pita Post.

The fleet then also features a rotating truck. The current truck is Drifter Coffee.

Detroit Fleat also features a restaurant and bar with various beer on tap, including selections from Bell's and Short's.

They even allow pets on the patio.

The company has been posting teasers on its Facebook in preparation for this grand opening, including pictures of  Hudson Industrial working on their metal bar shelves suspended from the ceiling and their bar, which is made out of wood from a floor in an abandoned home in Detroit that was 100 years old from the Islandview neighborhood.
