43-year-old Decharlos O. Brooks was arraigned and remanded Saturday morning, charged in connection with the shooting of DPD officer Glenn Doss.

Wednesday night DPD officers were dispatched to a house in on McDougal Street responding to shots fired, where 25-year-old officer Glenn Doss was shot in the head. He was transported to a local hospital where he has been listed in critical condition.

Brooks has been charged with eight counts of assault with intent to murder, seven counts of resisting and obstructing, one count of carrying a dangerous weapon and 17 counts of felony firearm.

"He started having seizures and got sick, i think that sort of messed him up a bit, that's where it started from a couple years ago, he wasn't the same person that he once was but he was a good man," Natalie Scott says, wife of Brooks.

Brooks will have a probable cause conference on February 6th.
