Drive-by shooting at stoplight kills 1, critically injures another

Police are investigating a drive-by shooting on Detroit's west side that killed one person and critically injured another.

Police have a limited description of the suspects right now, but say a burgundy Mazda was seen speeding away from the site of the shooting.

Police were called to the area of Hubbell Avenue and Outer Drive around 3 a.m. for a shooting. When officers arrived, they found two people had been shot multiple times.

A man in his 30s died at the scene, and a 36-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Police believe they were stopped at a traffic light in a silver Chrysler when someone drove up and opened fire on the vehicle. Police aren't sure yet how many suspects they're looking for.

Police haven't yet given the names of the victims.
