Driver arrested after hitting a bicyclist in Allen Park

ALLEN PARK, Mich (FOX 2) -  A driver is in custody Sunday after hitting a bicyclist in Allen Park.

The incident happened this afternoon at the Southfield service drive and Outer Drive.

We’re told the driver had a green light to turn, but failed to yield to the bicyclist crossing the street and hit him. 

The bicyclist might lose one or both of his legs but is in stable condition. 

Warrants will be submitted to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office.
