Fatal crash shuts down I-94 at Merriman near Metro Airport
(FOX 2) - WEB UPDATE: At 7:14 p.m. MDOT announced the freeway was reopened.
A fatal crash involving a semi-truck and car has shut down westbound I-94 at Merriman.
Michigan State Police tweeted that all lanes are closed at Ecorse Road and traffic is being diverted to Middle Belt to assist traffic heading to the airport.
Expect traffic delays while the investigation is underway, while I-275 could be used as an alternative route to the airport.
