Ferndale PD look for man who touched self in front of woman

FERNDALE, Mich. (WJBK) - Ferndale police are now looking for a man wanted for indecent exposure.

"I would love to unsee it," said Kristen, the victim.

Call it a pervert alert in Ferndale. Police need your help finding the man who exposed himself to a woman and began to touch himself in front of her.

It happened in from of Bloomz on Nine Mile and Paxton around 5 p.m. Sunday. Kristin, who did not want to share her last name, says she was on her way out when a man made some small talk.

"As I was leaving, you know, nice meeting you Nick, take care," she said. "He said well what do you think? And I said about what? And he looked down and so did I, and I noticed he was entirely exposed and that's when he began to touch himself."

Kristin says the man offered her 20 dollars to watch him.  She was dumbfounded

"He then said I didn't have to touch anything and I said I won't - I have to go," she said.

She then went to police, telling them about that jarring encounter and recalled the guy's description and allowed investigators to work up a sketch.

"I had a very strong reaction when I saw it come together," she said. "I was surprised at how struck I was by it."

FOX 2: "By how accurate it was?"

Yes," Kristen said. "I actually got up and excused myself for a moment because it was jarring to see him again." 

FOX 2: "Did this guy seem drunk?"

"No he didn't seem drunk," she said. "He didn't seem homeless, he didn't seem dirty, he didn't seem in any way shape or form, visually like someone I should be worry about or avoid." 

You can't judge a book by its cover and sleaze balls come in all shapes and sizes.

Police say he is about 6 feet, 2 inches has a really frail build and dark hair.

He was wearing John Lennon glasses, a black SpongeBob T-shirt with Crabby Patty on it.
