Fierce Detroit helps ease families burdens with diaper giveaway

Detroit (WJBK) - A young mom continues to unite the community, Corporate Partners, and successful Detroit women to provide resources to mothers under 25.

Fierce Detroit a non-profit organization that prides itself in providing quality support and mentoring to teen mother’s in the city of Detroit, has organized a diaper giveaway.

“We always work to empower mothers, and make sure they have all the resources they need to succeed, so we wanted to put an event on before the holiday to make sure they were able to meet their basic needs for their children,” FIERCE Detroit Founder Arielle Jonson said.

The organization received a major donation of over 500 boxes of diapers from a large organization that will be announced later this month. In addition, FIERCE has recruited support from community partners, several female entrepreneurs and a host of volunteers. 

Providing diapers, hats, gloves, socks and information on resources. Most importantly, moms will be introduced to an organization that is all about including them in an empowering network of FIERCE women.
