FOX 2, iHeart Media team up for Flint water drive
The people in Flint are our neighbors; they're our family. And they need our help now. That's why FOX 2 is working for you with iHeart Media and the Salvation Army this weekend.
On Saturday, Jay Towers will be at the Kroger on 13 Mile and Woodward between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. All we're asking you to do is come by and drop off a case of water. We'll take it from there.
We'll load it all into a Kroger semi-truck and they'll haul it up to Flint later that day. It's that easy for you to help your neighbors.
If you can't make it out or don't live in the area, you can also donate to the Salvation Army by texting WATER to 91999. In response, you'll get a link to donate money directly to help the people out.
The water situation is dire and they need donations of water quicker than they can get them.
