Fundraiser lets you become an inmate for a day

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mich. (WJBK) - Ever wonder what it's like to go to jail? Livingston County is giving you an opportunity to be inmate for a day. A $100 donation to the Livingston County Big Brothers Big Sisters gets you inside to experience the new multi-million dollar facility.

Space is limited to 70 people and you must report "to jail" at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2015. You will then be "arrested", get your mug shot and be taken to your new cell where you will be served dinner and learn about the jail and the different programs available to you as an "inmate."

After you serve your time, you'll be released and get to go home with a coffee mug and your mug shot.

A public open house is also in the works for the new jail. That date has not yet been determined.
