Harper Woods police look for driver in hit and run of man

HARPER WOODS, Mich. (WJBK) - Police are asking for the public's help after man was seriously injured in a hit and run Thursday afternoon in Harper Woods
The victim, a man in his 50s, was crossing Harper and Bournemouth at a crosswalk when a vehicle going north on Harper struck him. Police said the driver of the vehicle stopped briefly then backed up and fled the scene through the Family Food parking lot.
The Harper Woods man was taken to the hospital by paramedics where he is listed in serious condition. Police have released a photo of the hit and run vehicle, which is described as green mid 90s Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series pick-up truck with a single cab, and a white and blue Michigan license plate.
There is an aluminum toolbox in the bed of the truck and front-end damage as a result of the collision.
The driver is described as a white male with blonde hair.
