High temperatures cause summer school closures and early dismissal

High temperatures have many schools cancelling their summer sessions.

Wednesday's high of 90 degrees is forcing dozens of metro area schools without air conditioning to close their doors until the heat wave subsides. Dozens of other schools will have early dismissal.

The Office of School Nutrition will assist all schools with regular distributions of water in the classrooms, provide bottled water for field trips, and allow students to take bottled water as they depart for the day.
