I-94 closed at Telegraph after pedestrian was killed pushing disabled car

A fatal accident has closed I-94 eastbound at Telegraph Monday night in Taylor.

Police believe that two people were pushing a disabled vehicle along the freeway when they were hit by another car.

A third vehicle then hit that vehicle while one of the pedestrians pushing the first car was fatally injured.

Michigan State Police is requesting that drivers avoid the area because the freeway will remain closed.

Lt. Mike Shaw said in a Periscope video that the closure will for "at least two to three hours."

Due to the traffic backup, northbound Telegraph is experiencing heavy congestion.
