Illegal massage parlors raided in Waterford: police

Waterford Police say they raided multiple illegal massage parlors this week after undercover officers learned women there were offering sex for money.

Authorities entered three massage parlors at the exact same time, around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. They executed search warrants at Sun Spa on Huron Road; Massage Oasis on Highland Road; and Brownstone Therapy on Airport Road.

Undercover officers had been investigating the businesses for several months, and say they learned women there were offering sex for money and that none of the businesses were licensed. Authorities say none of the owners had ever even applied for the appropriate licenses.

Managers at each business were issued a violation for operating without a license by Waterford Police. Each manager was also told couldn't continue to be in business without the proper license.
