Detroit police are seeking a suspect in the fatal May beating of woman outside closed Cooley High

Detroit police have released a suspect sketch and video of man wanted in connection to a fatal beating near Fenkell and Lauder.

Investigators want the public's assistance in the death of a 23-year-old woman May 15 who was found severely beaten and naked outside Cooley High School.

The victim later died at the hospital, succumbing to her injuries. The security video was taken that day at about 1:30 p.m.

The victim in the fatal beating has been identified as Jodi "Diamond" Taylor. A charity benefit is being held for the family on May 24, and a GoFundMe has been set up. 

The benefit will be held Thursday, May 24 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Dickweeds Bar, 299 North Avenue, Mount Clemens. Donations will be welcome at the door. A 50/50 raffle will be drawn at 9:30 p.m., food tickets are $10 and a $250 tattoo raffle by Sarge from Stormmy Night Tattoos.
