Job fair Friday at 'Hardcore Pawn' American Jewelry and Loan

A local pawn shop-turned reality TV show is looking to hire. The "Hardcore Pawn" shop is hosting their first ever job fair Friday.

American Jewelry and Loan in Detroit gained national recognition on the Tru TV show.

The shop is looking to find 20 new employees to fill a variety of position as the business expands.

"We currently have a Pontiac location, which we're moving up the street to Oakland Point. We're going from 3,500 square feet to about 10,000. We need employees for there, but we need manager trainees, sales associates, warehouse people; if you have a good skill come and see us," says Les Gold.

The job fair runs today, Friday, March 25  from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. The job fair is at American Jewelry and Loan's Detroit location, which is at 20450 Greenfield Road near The Lodge.
