Roseville officer shot, suspect arrested after standoff
Dozens of police vehicles were spotted in the neighborhood, blocking off access to streets in the area south of I-696. It's unclear what led to the shooting.
(FOX 2) - Police wrestled a man into custody in Roseville Friday night after a standoff with law enforcement. The arrest happened after an officer was shot earlier in the evening.
The officer's condition is unknown.
It happened in the area of Frazho Road and Kathy Street, beginning around 5:45 p.m.
The man was taken into custody after police rammed the front of the home with a SWAT vehicle, using it as a battering ram to knock down the front facade of the house.
Police could also be heard using flashbangs and a megaphone.
Suspect's background
Police have not identified the suspect, but family and neighbors on the scene told FOX 2 that the barricaded man was Daniel Waldrep, an ex-Detroit Police Officer. According to records, Waldrep resigned following charges, and part of his plea agreement was to leave the DPD.

Roseville police were among those observed in the block where the shooting happened.
Police from both Fraser and St. Clair Shores were assisting and seen in tactical gear. The Roseville Fire Department was also spotted on scene.
Neighbors told FOX 2 they heard loud pops nearby.
