Male University of Michigan student reports being drugged and raped
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WJBK) - A male University of Michigan reported a rape after being drugged at a house party.
U of M's division of public safety said that the assault happened April 11 when the student was approached in the 200 block of Fletcher Street and invited to a large house party.
He told investigators that he was given and consumed a soft drink he was told was mixed with an alcoholic beverage. He woke up the next day with little memory of the night but discovered injuries connected with being sexually assaulted.
The student also tested positive for Benzodiazepine, which he had unknowingly ingested.
Suspects: (as described by witness)
Suspect No. 1: Black male, 6 feet, 1 inch to 6-2 with a solid build, approximately 21-22 years of age, dark clear complexion, dark short hair, well-formed beard on his chin with mustache, last seen wearing a black jacket, smelled of cologne. Went by the name "Darnell."
Suspect No. 2: White male, 5 feet 9 inches to 5-10 with a thin build, approximately 21-22 years of age, blonde hair parted on the left with a swoop, clean shaven, last seen wearing bright green basketball shoes. Went by the name "Sam."
