Man barricades himself in home after shooting teen in the face and neck

DETROIT (WJBK) - An 18-year-old was shot in the face and neck after looking for his mother. 

The young man went to the 9200 block of Savery and Joy Road on Detroit's west side to find his mother, when we;re told he got into an argument with her 40-year-old boyfriend. 

The man allegedly shot the teen with a shotgun from a second-story window, then barricaded himself in the home for two hours. 

The police were finally able to get him to surrender.

The teen is listed in serious condition.
