Man fatally shot in robbery at Water Station near Palmer Park
DETROIT - A robbery leads to a fatal shooting on Detroit's west side and police are searching for two suspects Tuesday.
The 29-year-old victim was robbed and killed near Palmer Park at Woodward near Goldengate at a business called the Water Station tonight.
The suspects were black males in their late 20s wearing black clothes one was wearing a ski mask. They made off with $1,300 in cash.
Police say the suspects went into the back door of the business, robbed them and took the cash register. One of the men was armed with a gun. The three people inside the business were then taken outside and were forced to empty their pockets.
"At some point the victims decided to start wrestling with the suspects," said Capt. Steve Walton, Detroit police. "During the fight gunshots were fired, one of the victims was fatally struck."
