Two people taken into custody after fatally shot man found in crashed car
A man in his 30s is dead after being found wounded inside a car that crashed on the city's west side.
DETROIT (FOX 2) - A man was found shot behind the wheel of a crashed car on Detroit's west side early Wednesday morning near Eight Mile and Greenfield.
What we know:
Detroit police responded to a shooting, finding the victim in his 30s inside the vehicle on Motor Drive near Eight Mile Road and the Lodge Freeway.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died.
After being shot, it appears that he crashed into a light pole and then a wrought iron fence near the Lodge.
Two people were taken from a nearby house around the corner on Prevost Street from where the car was found, and placed in custody by police.
It is unclear what their connection to the shooting was, or if they are the suspects responsible.
What we don't know:
Detroit police have not released anything yet regarding the circumstances of the shooting.
