Man in wheelchair killed in hit-and-run on Detroit's east side
DETROIT (FOX 2) - Police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run on Detroit's east side early Thursday morning.
Police say a man in a wheelchair was crossing the street when he was hit by a car and killed. The driver took off.
This happened near Mack and Conner. Police have had the intersection blocked off for multiple hours for the investigation.
Police only have a limited description of the suspect's vehicle right now, which is believed to be a white GMC conversion van with a high top.
Police haven't given the name of the victim.
The granddaughter of the victim has put together a GoFundMe page to help with the funeral expenses, anything will help the family during this difficult situation.
