Man shoots ex-girlfriend 4 times in Detroit home, barricades himself

A man was arrested after shooting his ex-girlfriend four times at her home in Detroit on Saturday morning,

Police said the ex-boyfriend broke into the house near Five Points and 6 Mile around 5 a.m. There were several people home at the time, including children.

The man shot his ex-girlfriend four times, striking her in the leg, chest and stomach. She was taken to a nearby hospital and has since been released, but continues to be in a lot of pain.

The shooter fled the scene and barricaded himself inside a home nearby. Police managed to arrest him shortly after the incident.
