Men posing as officers burst into home, hold gun to child's head

Detroit police are investigating after three men posing as officers burst into a home on the city's west side early Monday morning.

Police say three men kicked in the front door around 2 a.m. of the home in the 12,000 block of Tuller Street, which is near Fullerton Avenue and Interstate 96. The men all had guns and demanded money.

We're told five children were there at the time. One suspect, police say, held a gun to the head of a 7-year-old girl. She was not injured.

Police say one suspect also pistol whipped the fiance of the woman who lives in the home. They went to the hospital after the ordeal was over and he's expected to be okay.

It's unclear at this time when the suspects left, or if they got away with anything.

Police do not have much of a description to go off, except that all three men were wearing black at the time.

If you saw or heard something that could help police in their investigation, you're asked to give Detroit police a call.
