FOX 2: "How much weight did you lose in a six and half month period last year?"

"A total of 130 pounds," he said. "It is shocking when you tell people. But it is a very attainable goal when you put a lot of dedication and focus behind it."

Feeling sluggish at 330 pounds, the former football player joined a weight loss challenge at his workplace.

He used a combination of eating right; exercise and training to achieve his current average weight around 200 pounds.

"Working on my nutrition, changing my style of working out from power lifting to cardio boot camp style workouts," Anderson said. "That was really the key difference."

Plus he has an extra self-motivation for achieving his goals; he is pursuing an acting career.

Javon's been featured on Yahoo and you can follow his inspirational story on several social media platforms.

He says it's not just what you eat but when and how.

"I work midnights and a lot of my eating would be after work going home, going to sleep," Anderson said. "I did not eat a lot of meals. I ate two larger meals a day. Which was completely horrible for my diet.

"A lot of things I changed were my carbs and sugars. We cut back on a lot of sweets a lot of fast food and did a lot of home cooking, broccoli, chicken, sweet potatoes, things like that."
