Metro Detroit school closings for Jan. 23

Some of the coldest air of the season will be rolling through Southeast Michigan to wrap up the week.

Arctic temperatures combined with some extra snowfall will cap off what has been a freezing start to the year in 2026. That means both snow days and cold days are on the table for the districts around the region.
