MSP and Inkster police investigate non-fatal shooting

(FOX 2) - MSP and Inkster police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that that happened Saturday morning around 3:35 a.m. in the area of Avondale and Middlebelt. 

According to the male victim, he was driving when he was shot in the leg by an unknown person. However, evidence located on the scene is not matching the victim’s story, authorities say. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries. 

Detectives are on scene and at the hospital attempting to piece together the circumstances. There is no danger to the community, authorities say.
