Fire crews went to the Korex Corporation building on Pontiac Trail road just before 2:30 a.m., responding to a smoke alarm. They did not find any flames but a big plume of white smoke was coming from the building.

Police closed off Pontiac Trail at Wixom Road for the investigation and a Hazmat team was called. Employees at bussinesses surrounding Korex were also kept from the area.

"I'm happy to report that the preliminary reports on the air testing is that there is no toxicity in this plume of smoke."
