Northville Township investigating bomb threat called in to Meijer, store evacuated

NORTHVILLE, Mich. (WJBK) - A man has been arrested after a shopping complex near 8 Mile and Haggerty was evacuated Wednesday afternoon due to a bomb threat.
Northville Township police said a 36-year-old man from Clinton Township called in a bomb threat to Meijer, and the man said something to the effect of - you all ought to be bombed. It is unclear what set the man off, police say.
Police said they found a suspicious bag in the Meijer parking lot when they arrived -- he had loose wires in containers.
The all-clear was given at the scene around 2:30 p.m. and shoppers were let back into the store.
Police say the suspect has a criminal history and may be mentally ill and that he has made threatening posts on his social media in the past
