ON CAMERA: Family has car stolen for third time in year
DETROIT (WJBK) - For the third time in less than a year Bertha Bravo and her family have had a car stolen from them.
The latest theft was caught on a nearby surveillance camera.
It happened near Eastern Market in Detroit on Monday, January 4th. Bravo had just started her day at work nearby.
The video shows a dirty, red truck pull in front of Bravo's 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe. A man gets out and forces his way inside her vehicle before driving off.
"It's a frustration because you work for it, you know. You work for your stuff and seeing someone just taking it like that is sad," Bravo said.
Bravo is a single mom, and only had no-fault insurance on her vehicle. Unless it's returned, her truck will be a total loss.
Police confirm they are investigating, and ask anyone with information to give them a call.
