'Person of interest' in security breach at city county building identified
DETROIT - The man wanted as a person of interest in Monday's lockdown of the Coleman A. Young building has been identified.
Detroit police say that the man was contacted by police and met with detectives at his attorney's office.
"He provided a statement and was interviewed," said Sgt. Michael Woody, Detroit police. "At this time we are excluding this person from further investigation."
It started when a man was allowed through security at the Coleman A. Young building with a gun inside his bag.
Woody said, "for obvious reasons we are not releasing his identification."
