Police: Abduction attempt of 12-year-old girl 'unfounded'
NEW BALTIMORE, Mich. (WJBK) - A reported abduction attempt of a young girl was found to be bogus Tuesday.
A New Baltimore 12-year-old girl told police that a stranger followed her and grabbed her left hand while she was walking on Blackwell Street Monday. Police after investigating the report, called the incident "unfounded" today.
FOX 2 reported the incident earlier on Tuesday.
In a statement police said: "Investigators, after conducting multiple interviews with potential witnesses and Officers, along with Detectives reviewing hours of surveillance video from local businesses in the area, the New Baltimore Police Department has determined this complaint to be 'Unfounded' and will no longer be investigating this matter.”
