Police chase from Detroit to Ferndale ends in crash

FERNDALE, Mich. (WJBK) - Two people are under arrest after a police chase that started in Detroit and ended in Ferndale.That chase ended in a crash here at 10 Mile Road and Kenwood Street.

Ferndale Police tells us the vehicle the suspects were driving hit a car then caught fire and crashed into a utility pole.

FOX 2 spoke to one woman who was sitting in her car when the chase zoomed past her.

"He was coming the wrong way at a high speed. I didn't hear any squealing, I didn't hear nothing - I just heard the crash," says Julie Lowe who lives nearby. "That's all I heard was the crash and then the explosion."

She also says she saw three men jump out of the car after the crash. Police arrested two at the scene. The third suspect has not been found.

The accident remains under investigation. It is unclear at this time why police were pursuing the vehicle.
