Police: drunk driver slams into limo after Tim McGraw concert

A total of 15 people were involved in an accident Sunday night when police say a drunk driver slammed into a limousine after Sunday's Tim McGraw concert.

Don Cremer has lived on Clarkston Road near Park Drive for 30 years. In that time, he says he's seen dozens of accidents and Sunday's is just the most recent on what he considers a dangerous curve.

"Sometimes they don't realize how sharp the curve is and about here they loose it," Cremer said.

The bend is near the DTE Energy Music Center. On Sunday night, just as a storm was rolling in, Cremer heard the most recent crash.

"The rain started 15 minutes before that and usually the time when you know something is going to happen," Cremer said.

Both the stretch limo and SUV were leaving the concert and a total of 15 people were hurt. Nine were int he limo while six others were in the SUV and Oakland County Sheriff Deputies say the driver of the SUV is to blame.

"I think it spun out and ended up crossing the road backwards," Cremer said. "I've seen it here lots of times."

The 28-year-old woman behind the wheel was charged with operating while intoxicated and taken to jail.. Four others were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

Neighbors say that wasn't the only accident to happen that night there were tire tracks in the ditch where another car lost control on the same stretch of road. The speed limit is 45 on this stretch of road but on admits it's safer to go slower.
