Detroit police say they've found a young girl who they say was taken by her non-custodial mother Thursday night.

Police said around 3 p.m. that they found 3-year-old Shonnell Marie Perry who they say was taken from her home on the 20500 block of Biltmore.

Shonnell's mother, Lucia Elizabeth Perry, is described as a 34-year old female, 5 feet 3 inches tall, 135 lbs. with straight shoulder-length black hair. She has a tattoo of a tree branches on her chest. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, green shirt, green pants and gray shoes. She does not have a vehicle and is known to frequent various motels along 8 Mile Road and Greenfield.

Lucia is in good physical condition but police say she has bi-polar schizophrenia and takes medication.
