Police investigate fatal shooting at gas station

DETROIT (WJBK) - Police are investigating a fatal shooting overnight at a gas station on the city's east side. 

One person was shot at the Valero gas station at 7 Mile and Chalmers, and later died at the hospital. Police say the 27-year-old victim was shot multiple times in the head and neck.

The shooting happened just before midnight. Police aren't sure what happened in the moments leading up to the shooting, but say witnesses told them they heard an argument. 

No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting at this time. Police don't have a description of the suspect or suspects right now either. 

Police have not yet given the name of the victim.
