Police search for two hit-and-run drivers after 26-year-old killed

The search is on for two hit-and-run drivers after a young woman was killed Sunday in Madison Heights.

Twenty-six-year-old Nadea Kassab was crossing Concord Drive just south of 14 Mile when she was hit by not one, but two vehicles Both drivers fled the scene.

"If you're gonna crash into somebody by accident, don't feel afraid to go and step out of the car and pick her up. You could've saved her. She could've been saved," says Kassab's cousin Marilyn Bahoura.

A memorial near Oakland Mall has started to form where she was killed. Kassab was crossing by herself around 12:05 a.m., walking near the apartment where she lived with her boyfriend.

"Beautiful girl; she loves family; loves family gatherings; loves to go out to eat, she was such a foodie," says Bahoura. "She had a heart of gold. She was the type of girl who would take off her jacket for a stranger and just give it to you."

Madison Heights Police don't have much to go on at this time. The only description they have is that the first vehicle is black. The only known video was taken at a nearby liquor store, but it is dark and grainy. Police are not releasing it at this time.

"There's shock. It's such a shock. It's just something you wouldn't expect at such a young age," says Bahoura. "Just let us know what happened. We're very hurt. She's so young."

The drivers who hit and killed Kassab have not come forward on their own, but if you know who may have been involved you're asked to contact Madison Heights Police. Even the smallest tip may help them break the case.
