Police searching for suspect after sexual assault reported at Elektricity nightclub

A 19-year-old woman from West Bloomfield Township reported that a man she knew only as "Mike" made sexual advances toward her in a secluded area of the club.

Police are asking for help identifying a man accused of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman at Pontiac nightclub Elektricity.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office reports that deputies responded to call around 3:08 a.m. Aug. 18 regarding an alleged sexual assault at Elektricity, located at 15 S. Saginaw Street in downtown Pontiac.

A 19-year-old woman from West Bloomfield Township reported that a man she knew only as "Mike" made sexual advances toward her in a secluded area of the club. She repeatedly refused the advances but reports the suspect pinned her up against a wall and sexually assaulted her.

The victim says she had no prior contact with the suspect and had met him that evening, according to the sheriff's office. After reporting what had happened to her family, she was taken to the hospital for treatment. She had a forensic examination through Haven's START program and it is currently being tested at the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Forensic Laboratory for DNA.

The sheriff's office is asking for help identifying a suspect in the case, believed to be a Hispanic male around 20 years of age.  Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) SPEAK-UP. There is a $1,000 reward and you will remain anonymous.
