Quadruple stabbing leaves two dead on Detroit's east side
Two people were killed and two others injured in a quadruple stabbing during a pool party on Detroit’s east side Saturday night, following an argument over a woman.
DETROIT (FOX 2) - Detroit police are investigating a quadruple stabbing that left two dead during a pool party on Detroit's east side Saturday night.
What we know:
Officers responded to the incident in the 18500 block of Fleming, near Seven Mile Road, just before 10 p.m.
According to police, an argument broke out over a woman who was at the party. During the altercation, a male suspect allegedly stabbed four people.
A man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s were pronounced dead at the scene, Detroit Police Deputy Chief Arnold Williams said during a media briefing.
Two other victims, both in their 30s, were hospitalized — one in critical condition and the other in stable condition.
Williams said a person of interest has been identified, but no arrests have been made.

"These last couple of days, we’ve just had this rash of violence, just unexplainable. This again is one of those incidents," Williams said. "We’ve had four people who were stabbed because someone said something or someone may have touched somebody, and that is not how we deal with any type of conflict. We have to do better."
