Reward offered after store owner shot, killed in robbery

A reward is still being offered for information about a store owner's murder on Detroit's west side earlier this year.

Michael Weaver was robbed and gunned down at his used auto parts shop in the 12000 block of Coyle Street. The killers have not been captured.

On March 19, an hour after opening the shop, two masked men armed with guns walked in and demanded money. Mike gave them the cash - but they shot him anyway.

"He held his own business in Detroit for 30 years and supported the neighborhood. The neighborhood was his business, and he cared deeply of the welfare of everyone who lived there," says Michael's brother-in-law.

Police released surveillance photos right after the crime. The suspects still haven't been found.

"The killers may think that we don't know who they are, but we want them to know something: we do know their identity. You are the face of evil," his brother-in-law says.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest. The number to call is 1-800-SPEAK-UP. You will be anonymous.
