It's been over a week, and the family of Raymond Mshahwar still doesn’t have answers into why he was shot as he was driving in Dearborn on October 16th.

His family, Crime Stoppers, and Dearborn Police are joining forces and making a plea to anyone who has information about this crime to speak up.

“We're confident that there is someone out there that has some answers knows what happened and can lead police in right direction,” said Jeffrey Lance Abood, family attorney and friend of Mshahwar.

Police say the 33-year old victim from Canton was last seen that evening at 9 p.m. at Vision Lanes bowling alley in Westland.

“Video surveillance has been obtained from numerous sources and we're currently going through those,” said Cmdr. David Robinson from the Dearborn Police Department.

One hour later - At 10 p.m. - police say Mshahwar was in Dearborn and that's when the vehicle he was driving hit a parked car at Madison and Bennett.

Investigators would soon learn Mshahwar had been shot before the crash. He was transported to an area hospital where he died.

Those who knew the victim say he did not deserve to have his life end this way.

“Ray was a great guy who would do anything for anybody. His family is grieving devastated,” said Abood.

“Anyone who had contact or saw the vehicle or saw this individual reach out and contact our department,” said Cmdr. Robinson. ”In hopes we can put together the last hour before we came in contact with the victim.”
