Three people were injured in an accident Friday morning that involved a school bus and an SUV. Police say the accident happened as a result of road rage.

An SUV collided head-on with a Warren Consolidated School's school bus just before 11:30 a.m. Police on scene say the driver of the SUV was a victim in a road rage incident.

Police say the road rage started in Troy, and ended at the accident scene at 15 Mile and Dequindre roads. Police say the alleged aggressor cut off the driver of the SUV, which caused that driver to lose control and collide head-on with the bus.

The driver of the SUV is okay, but the school bus driver and at least one student were injured. The extent of their injuries is not known at this time.

The alleged aggressor in the road rage incident was also taken to the hospital, citing back pain, police say.

North and southbound lanes of Dequindre were briefly closed Friday morning as police investigated. It has since been reopened.
