Strange but True: Payphone in Southfield Franklin area still has people talking

(WJBK) - In the Southfield-Franklin area, FOX 2's Jason Carr found something odd - a payphone.

Sometimes it has been said to work, sometimes it doesn't. Or maybe it’s just an urban legend.

This is the strange but true case of the old pay phone that allegedly still works.

The pay phone exists here at the BP station on the corner of Franklin and Northwestern.

Raymond is the proprietor and says he doesn't even know who owns it.

So Jason Carr procured some quarters from Ray and ventured forth into the arctic blast, lifted the handset and -- watch the video to see what happens next.
