Stranger danger incident reported in Wyandotte

A stranger danger incident is being reported by a Wyandotte Middle School Monday.

In a letter to parents, Wilson Middle School said that student who was walking to school was approached by a man and later threatened after she refused him.

A man standing outside his red car, possibly a Mercury Milan, at the intersection of Goddard and 17th Street, spoke to the girl, asking her if she wanted "a ride to school."

After she declined, the man then threatened to harm her loved ones if she did not get into the car. She ignored the man and kept walking to school.

Her mother filed a report with the Wyandotte Police Department, while the school is pressing parents to take the time to speak to their children about stranger danger.

Anyone with information should contact police at (734)324-4405.
