Students sent to hospital after bus accident in Pittsfield Twp.

Ten students were sent to the hospital for minor injuries after a school bus accident in Pittsfield Township Friday afternoon. 

Students from Saline Middle School were on a field trip to see the movie 'Selma' when one of the buses rear ended the other. A group of five buses total was transporting the students. 

Several ambulances and fire trucks responded to the accident. Twenty-two students were evaluated at the scene, and 10 were taken to the hospital for minor bumps and bruises. The other students were released back into custody of the school, or to parents who had arrived on scene. 

The accident happened near the intersection of Carpenter and Morgan roads. 

It is unclear at this time if the bus driver will be ticketed. The accident is still under investigation.
