Authorities are investigating a crash that happened after a police pursuit through Redford and into Detroit Friday morning.

Redford police attempted a traffic stop and the driver took off, we're told.

Redford police pursued the driver, who eventually crossed over into Detroit. That's when the driver got into a crash at McNichols and Greydale, which is just west of Grand River Avenue.

The suspect's vehicle crashed into a red SUV, sending it into a fence. The suspect's vehicle tipped over on its side further down the road.

Police said no one was seriously hurt and the suspect was taken into custody. Other details weren't given yet.

This police pursuit happened just minutes after another one through Detroit along northbound I-75. Police were pursuing the driver of a stolen white pickup when that driver crashed into a semi and took off running into a nearby neighborhood in Hazel Park, where he was eventually taken into custody.
